The Tiantong-1 satellite signal repeater is a bidirectional relay device that solves the problem of indoor satellite signal shielding and enables satellite signals to penetrate walls for indoor coverage.

Working Principle

The device consists of three parts: an outdoor antenna, a repeater main unit and an indoor antenna. The high-gain outdoor antenna is installed in an unobstructed area and aligned with the Tiantong-1 satellite to capture S-band downlink signals ranging from 2170 MHz to 2200 MHz. The signals are transmitted to the main unit via coaxial cables, where they undergo low-noise amplification, filtering and automatic gain control to suppress interference and stabilize signal quality. The processed signals are radiated through the indoor omnidirectional antenna to cover indoor areas. Meanwhile, the device bidirectionally forwards uplink signals (1980-2010 MHz) from indoor terminals back to the satellite.

Application Scenarios

  1. Emergency Command: Applied to underground command posts, mine shelters and field fortifications to ensure unimpeded emergency communication.

  2. Remote Areas: Deployed at border outposts, pastoral areas and islands to make up for the lack of terrestrial network coverage.

  3. Special Spaces: Used inside ship cabins, tunnels, pipe corridors and high-rise buildings to avoid signal shielding caused by building structures.

  4. Outdoor Operations: Mounted on vehicles and deployed at scientific research camps to provide mobile satellite signal coverage.
